I received Jesus when I was 14 years old, after the death of my mother to lung cancer. The Lord brought real peace into my life at that difficult time. I became a part of the Open Door Baptist Church in my hometown and began to grow as a believer because of the preaching of God’s Word and the fellowship of a great body of believers.

The desire of my heart is to walk in the fullness of God’s Spirit and to be used to glorify Him to impact people’s lives for Jesus. I’m excited to be a part of Grace Church and what God is doing here in Grand Junction.

I accepted Christ when I was 23 years old in Denver, Colorado in a little church on West Colfax.  That's where I met my wife, Regina.  We were married in 1988 and have 3 children - Gabriel, Ariana and Michael.

We experienced a church split which almost destroyed our walk with God but that's when God brought us to Grace Church of Arvada in 1995.  During the six years at Grace Church of Arvada, God transformed our spiritual life and we learned how to serve and walk in God's grace.  We moved to Grand Junction in June, 2001.

I grew up playing and watching all sports.  One of my biggest passions, sports-related is soccer.  Gabe and Ari started playing soccer and that's a sport I had no clue about.  They were traveling on competitive teams all over Colorado, Wyoming and Nevada.  They needed referees and asked if I would consider it.  We needed the extra money and within six months I was hooked on being a soccer referee.  I am currently refereeing youth, high school and NCAA soccer matches in my spare time.
